In the first segment of today's show, hosts John Wells and Lynn Ware Peek spoke with Mary Mazzio, Executive Producer of Underwater Dreams. She wrote and directed this documentary about four teenage boys from the desert who built and undersea robot with parts from Home Depot, etc. Dr. Doug Lemon then joined the show to talk about the challenges of "range anxiety", a big issue for users of electric vehicles. Dr. Lemon is a part of USU's Wireless Power Transfer Team.

Utah Weighs Doing Away With Daylight Savings Time

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah is inviting residents to weigh in on whether they want their state to become the third nationwide to opt out of daylight savings time.

The debate starts at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City.

Separate pushes to abandon the spring and fall time changes have surfaced and died in the state Legislature since 1997.

Utah To Appeal Gay Marriage Ruling To High Court

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah is going straight to the U.S. Supreme Court to challenge a federal appeals court ruling that found states must allow gay couples to marry.

State Attorney General Sean Reyes' office said in a statement Wednesday it will file an appeal to the high court sometime in the next couple of weeks, rather than taking its case to the entire 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
