Deer Valley Could Purchase Large Property To Help Expansion

Deer Valley Resort is contemplating future plans, including a new link to Old Town, Park City, and an expansion into Wasatch County.

And one of the Resort's landowner partners in the Wasatch project, with 5,000 acres and a lot of approved density, is going up for sale, according to Deer Valley General Manager Bob Wheaton. Rick Brough has more.

Woman Identified In Suicide Shooting

The Summit County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman who was found dead Friday of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at a cabin in Weber Canyon. Rick Brough has more.

A press statement identified the victim as 43-year-old Jane S. Persinger of Salt Lake City. She was found by officers shortly after 5 PM Friday on the front porch of a cabin with a gunshot wound to the chest.

PCMR Continues To Claim Validity Of Lease

In the next couple of weeks, Third District Judge Ryan Harris is considering a large quantity of claims, allegations and legal arguments from both sides in the Park City Mountain Resort ski hill lawsuit.

In the past two weeks, the Judge heard oral arguments on three major disputes. Last week, the Mountain Resort - which had said it still has a valid lease of over 3,000 acres of its ski hill - said its lease was violated because the landlord, Talisker Land Holdings, in effect, sold the property to Vail Resorts. Rick Brough has more.
