Governor Orders Flags Lowered For Officer Memorial

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Thursday to honor Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Herbert's office announced the lowering in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

State and U.S.'s flags will be flown at half-staff on state buildings from sunrise to sunset. 

They'll return to full staff on Friday.
