Want to show off your best friend and have fun? Purebreds and mixed breeds are welcome at the Summit County Fair Dog Day dog show. There are lots of classes to enter including best costume and best trick. Dog day is a great way to spend time with your canine buddy. It's Sat. Aug 2 at 10AM. Entries accept day of show. Mountain Spirit Heritage Festival

Experience the Mountain Spirit Heritage Festival July 25 to July 27 below the dam at Rockport State Park in Wanship. Enjoy live music, pioneer activities, a wagon train, dances, food booths, western crafts and more. The Festival runs from 10 to 9 Friday and Saturday, and 10 to 4 Sunday.
