Historic Main Street Walking Tours are back again for the Summer Season! This one hour tour is a great way to familiarize yourself with Main Street or simply learn something you never knew before. Park City currently has an 11 percent community participation rate but our goal is to climb even higher to 15 percent. The Summit County Council seeks public input on the proposed Resolution 2010-11, a bond for up to $25 million, slated to be on the November ballot. The bond would finance all or part of the costs to acquire recreational open space property, construct trails and related improvements, and pay costs of issuance of the bonds. The public is asked to provide comment at the County Council meeting Wednesday, September 1, at 6:00 p.m., at the Sheldon Richins Building, 1885 West Ute Blvd, Kimball Junction. Do you have a new puppy? Or a dog you would love to learn a few new tricks? Park City Recreation begins another session of Dog Obedience classes Tuesday September 21st. Three levels of training are offered to fit the need of your dog with puppy, basic, and intermediate classes. The Rail Trail waterline construction will be moving into the Wyatt Earp area. Wyatt Earp Way to the Skid Row trail will be closed to pedestrian and bike traffic. A detour will be established and signed, indicating a safe route of travel for pedestrians and cyclists. Please respect all signage, as well as the detour, in the name of safety.
