Community Voices – Jan. 3rd, 2013

Today on Community Voices, we’ve been hearing a lot about health insurance exchanges and how they might be able to drive down costs for consumers. KPCW’s Larry Warren and Beth Fratkin talk with Patty Conner, the Director of Avenue H, Utah’s existing health insurance exchange program, about how Governor Herbert intends to expand this program in order to meet the requirements of the Affordable Health Care Act. If you’re confused about what a health insurance exchange program can offer you, Patty will be here to provide some answers. During the second part of our program, we hear from Judi Hilman, the Executive Director of the Utah Health Policy Project. Judi will be telling us what she and other health advocates would like to see included in Utah’s health insurance exchange program, and why some community groups think that Utah can do better.
