A ten-member jury in Salt Lake’s Third District Court heard opening arguments Thursday as a civil trial got underway, pitting the Canyons Resort against Wolf Mountain, the principal landowner under the ski area.

But the attorney for American Skiing Company of Utah, parent company of the resort, said the dispute is basically about the overwhelming greed of a landlord. Rick Brough has more.
